A Comparative Study of Teaching L2 Vocabulary with and without Illustrations to Virtual EFL Learners

Second language learning research suggests that visual aids and illustrations have the potential to enhance proficiency retention of vocabulary terms in a foreign language. This study builds off this literature by studying Native English speakers Polish words using images versus no images. quantitative compares effectiveness 2 methods within groups studied 10 Polish: (1) participants with virtual flashcards illustrations, (2) without illustrations. After 10-minute tutorial, were asked fill out Google form measured their retention. They then same after 5 days.
